Hey guys! Welcome back, I’m excited to tell you all about my Play! By Sephora box I received this month! I was a bit surprised to come home to my box so early in the month this time! Usually, my box doesn’t get delivered until around the 24th-ish but Christmas really came early this year! My box last month took longer than usual to come so maybe they felt bad and decided to send this one a little earlier.. either way, let’s get into the specifics of my box this month!
Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream
I’ve gotten this eye cream once before in a Sephora box I believe.. I know I got a sample from somewhere else before but anyway! I really like this eye cream, I feel as though it is sufficient in moisturizing my under eyes. Clinique is a very good brand for people with sensitive skin, so I recommend this eye cream to literally anyone.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder
When it comes to setting powders I usually use one that has a color for a big more coverage since I do have acne and dark spots. I have been trying to lighten up on the amount of product I use on my face because sometimes the more you have on, the more attention it sometimes draw to the imperfections you are trying to hide. (At least this is what I have experienced for myself). So I was pretty excited to receive this so that I could test out using a light weight translucent setting powder. It’s definitely some taking use to for me but overall I am very happy with the finish it provides. It also most definitely holds my foundation in place which is hoped for from a setting powder.
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lip in “Pink Tea”
This is the perfect lip color for me. I don’t wear color on my lips often but when I do I prefer a darker nude or mauve against my olive skin. This liquid lip is very light weight, non-drying and stays on rather well. I won’t be purchasing a full size of the product just because I know it will take me forever to even finish this sample because of how rare it is for me to wear lipstick. But when I do you best believe I’ll be wearing this one!
First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Micellar Makeup Melter
I have to try this product out some more I guess because I’ve only used it twice and the first time it worked fine. I’m writing this from a hotel room right now and so I brought this with me since it’s a mini to use as my makeup remover for the weekend and uhm.. well this time I used it and I had to use it twice and I still had mascara smeared on my face. The first time I used the product I was wearing very minimal mascara, literally just one swoop over each eye. Tonight I applied my mascara heavier for a more noticeable look and this makeup remover wasn’t exactly taking it off. I’ll have to test this out a few more times to figure out how I feel about it but as of right now I’m not too happy. I love this brand’s skincare so it really hurts me to have such a bad experience with this product.
Christophe Robin Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts
For starters this hair cleanser smells like hair dye… my guess is because it contains ammonium lauryl sulfate because that ammonium smell is definitely there, no denying that. Aside from the smell this hair left my hair feeling dirty. It gave my hair that separated look that happens whenever your hair needs to be washed. So unfortunately, I did not enjoy this product so much either.
Viktor&Rolf Flower Bomb
I can’t even count how many times I have received this perfume as a sample.. it’s a nice scent, floral as one might assume yet sophisticated. I like it but I would rather receive some new scents that I have not gotten before.
Thanks for reading! If you have any questions about the products I have listed feel free to ask! Or if you have tried any of these products I would love to hear how they worked for you!
